While everyone knows it’s fun to stay, swim, and exercise at the YMCA, the Y also wants everyone to know that it’s a nonprofit organization involved in critical community efforts that depends upon public support to survive.
From dancing, to the arts—you’re never too old to learn something new with the help of the YMCA.
“My Y Story,” the Y’s first-ever original content series with talent to raise awareness of the Y’s true role as an enduring nonprofit organization driving change in communities across the country.
We created and produced a brand-new storytelling platform for the Y, “My Y Story,” leveraging the authentic stories of celebrity talent with personal connection to the Y, to demonstrate the nationwide impact of the organization across the country. Through compelling video and social media content, each episode of the series featured new talent and their personal story of how the Y positively impacted their life. Since inception, the Y has shared 7 stories, including those of actors Ethan Hawke and Jane Lynch, professional basketball player Kyle Kuzma, and more, with future episodes to come.
The episodes were a huge hit. But most importantly, many people were able to see the YMCA as a nonprofit that shapes communities, one life at a time.
