Team (Playground) Building
Entering our 5th season working with the Philadelphia Eagles, our team at 160over90 was invited to join up with their entire Eagles organization to lend a hand as they built the franchise’s 21st playground, at the Lewis Elkin School in Kensington. This long-standing tradition of the Lurie era has become an annual event throughout the region over the past two decades.
Partnering with the Mural Arts program, Eagles players, coaches, cheerleaders, and staff joined together to paint the expansive mural that extended around entire perimeter of the school building.
The mural’s theme of “Soaring Toward a Bright Tomorrow” featured illustrated eagles with their wings extended, painted by large Eagles lineman who needed every inch of their own expansive reaches to paint the wall.
A lot of mural got painted. A turf field (with a legit Eagles logo), got installed. A DJ kept us all going—including a few impromptu dance circles where the students from Lewis Elkin showed Eagles players a move or two of their own.
We were happy to help out and put a personal touch onto a project that generations of kids to come will get use out of. In fact, our very own Group Account Director, Maggie Insogna, was happy to add an extra personal touch when she literally signed a student’s t-shirt because she looked like an Eagles Cheerleader.*
*Maggie did disclaim that she was not in fact an Eagles cheerleader, but that she had been a high school cheerleader before the girl handed over the Sharpie.
